The TZ3 Stradale Zagato created in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo. Making TZ3 Stradale Zagato begins with winning “Villa D’Este Design Concept Award in 2010 “. TZ3 Corsa is a track car. This is not a design exercise. This is the Neo-Classic car. The Stradale is the Exercise Design TZ3. This is not a race car. This is a car Avant-garde. Corsa TZ3 is a tribute to Alfa Romeo and Zagato racing heritage. This is a one off. The Stradale TZ3 is a tribute to Alfa Romeo and Zagato heritage street legal. Only 9 examples in the world.

The fourth model in the line of TZ, the Stradale follow the original TZ and TZ2, TZ3 and more new Corsa which was inaugurated last year at the Villa d’Este – the same location where, as we recently reported, an original TZ set to cross auction block. But while the TZ3 Alfa-powered Corsa is strictly one-off driveway, Stradale TZ3 (as used in Christmas cards Zagato’s) will be built in an edition of nine samples.

The first will be noted American collector Eric King, second and third examples are intended for customers in Japan and Europe. Ask a really good and probably one of the six remaining could be yours. Grand Sport coupe Chevrolet Corvette LS3 6.2L engine.
The Corvette Grand Sport is available in both coupe and convertible body styles, with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The LS3 6.2L engine is rated at 430 horsepower (321 kW) and 424 lb.-ft. of torque (575 Nm) with the standard exhaust system. An optional two-mode exhaust system raises the power output to 436 horses (325 kW) and 428 lb.-ft. (580 Nm).
The 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport which was introduced at the 12th annual C5/C6 Corvette Birthday Bash, held at the National Corvette Museum, in Bowling Green, Ky. combines the Corvette’s LS3-based powertrain with unique, wide-body styling and a racing-derived suspension.

The Grand Sport replaces the Corvette’s previous Z51 package and brings a greater degree of handling performance, with wider wheels and tires; revised shock, stabilizer bar and spring specifications; and specific gearing. The equipment enables cornering capability of 1.0 g, as well as a 0.2-second improvement in 0-60 acceleration over the standard .
With its special equipment, the Corvette Grand Sport offers a unique blend of performance and amenities. Its suspension package approaches that of the Z06, but includes a removable roof on coupes (Z06 has a fixed roof) and, of course, the availability of a convertible body style. Also, the paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission is offered, while a manual transmission is the only choice with the Z06. Essentially the Grand Sport sits somewhere between the standard C6 Corvette and the Z06 Corvette for performance and comfort.
Corvette Grand Sport coupe models equipped with the manual transmission are uniquely outfitted for race track competition, too, with a dry-sump oiling system, differential cooler and a rear-mounted battery - this is the model you want to go for, otherwise you're wasting your money and may as well get the standard model.

Exterior and Interior

The Grand Sport replica was built on a a custom fabricated tube-frame steel chassis from the fourth generation Corvette, but with design elements similar to the Grand Sport launched back in the ’60s. By paying special attention to every detail, Mongoose managed to obtain a perfect replica of the sports car.

The car features a GS frame designed by Altair engineering - one of the largest aircraft-engineering firms in the country - and a suspension from 88-96MY Corvettes with fully adjustable front and rear coil over shocks. The hood, doors, and deck lid are all custom made and seem to fit perfectly with the overall scheme of the car.

Mongoose Motors couldn’t hold anything back when deciding on the engine for this bad boy, after all, the movie is called Fast Five. So to live up to the name, they placed a 502-cubic-inch GM big-block V8 rated at 502 hp. It’s not as impressive as the original engine used in the Grand Sport model, but it’s close enough to be just as awesome. Back in 1963, Chevrolet was using a 377 cubic inch displacement, all-aluminum, small block with four Weber side-draft carburetors, rated at 550 HP.

Pricing

This is the part where we are expected to say that the Grand Sport was only created for the movie and will never see production or pricing, but that is thankfully not true. You will be happy to know that Mongoose Motors not only creates special vehicles for the big screen, but they can also build you your very own for about $69,995, minus the drivetrain. If you are only interested in the special Grand Sport created specifically for the movie, then you better hope some movie buff snags it up and then sells it at an auction for a profit. That’s the only way any of us will be getting one.

Audi R8 V10 Spyder RMS Pics

Back in October RENM Performance released a rendering of their take on the Audi R8 V10 Spyder. Now the Australian tuning company officially presented their creation, the RENM Audi R8 V10 RMS Spyder.

Thanks to the use of carbon and enhanced aerodynamics the RENM Audi R8 V10 RMS Spyder is a lighter and faster version of the regular R8 Spyder. Major changes were made to the front grille, brake cooling chambers, front splitter and side grilles.

The RENM R8 Spyder received a revised rear diffuser with a single, central exhaust outlet, similar to configurations used in Lamborghini models or the Bugatti Veyron. A new rear wing has been added to increase the down force.

RENM describes the car as ‘a road car with motorsport intentions’. The 5.2 liter V10 engine received an upgrade as well. The power was increased from the original 525 horsepower and 530Nm of torque to 600hp and 585Nm.

Although RENM did not provide any performance figures they claim that the improved power-to-weight ratio has resulted in better acceleration, handling and braking dynamics.

Additionally, the Australians changed the interior by adding carbon elements to the steering wheel, center console, instrument gauge, shift gate, handbrake, arm rests and door trims. The standard seats were replaced with light-weight race seats upholstered in grey leather and red piping with R8 Spyder inscriptions.
